Time matters. Shut it down immediately, unplug it, and do not try to power it on to "check" — that's when shorted boards die for good. Don't put it in rice; it does nothing useful. Salt water and sugary drinks are far worse than plain water because the residue keeps corroding the board for days after it looks dry, and Dubai's humidity slows drying.

Bring it in fast. We open it, ultrasonically clean the board to halt corrosion, and recover what's salvageable. The sooner it reaches us, the more we save.
